And this fanlisting is for...

my favourite actor, Joaquin Phoenix. What can I say about Joaquin? Sheesh -- what can't I say? He's brilliant. His acting just blows me away, from his Oscar-nominated turn as Commodus in Gladiator, to the anti-hero of Buffalo Soldiers, Ray Elwood, Joaquin hasn't done a single thing I haven't liked. His roles are varied, his choices sometimes odd, and yet every character he's played, he's nailed every single one. I have yet to be disappointed by a movie Joaquin has been in (though, I'll tell you, It's All About Love came close to doing that. WTF ice skating?!)

Joaquin is a vegan and animal right's supporter, two things that are really close to my heart. He supports the People For Ethical Treatment of animals, is a board member of The Lunchbox Foundation and lent his voice to Nation Earth's documentary, Earthlings. So very few actors devote more than a few hours of their time to important causes, and so very few stand up for what they believe in, which is just one of the reasons why I respect Joaquin so much.
